A THING OF DREAMS

Hello to you, valued customer
I am Mpho Zim, the founder of the Siphesihle Social Enterprise and of Siphesihle Clothing. During the day I work as a management consultant, and at night I plan how to improve the lives of the least privileged children in the country through (educational) interventions.
I owe much of what this initiative is built on to the life-on-life discipleship example of Jesus and the many (formal and informal) discipleship relationships I have had over the years. I am a wifey and a mommy of 2, I love playing action netball, finding ways to keep fit, hanging out with my family and friends, writing and singing. I have a gift for building relationships and a passion for people.
In 2017 I enrolled for a Masters at the University of Pretoria. My research (titled: Linking corporate organizations and Child Support Grant (CSG)
recipients through ICT to alleviate poverty in South Africa) sparked a greater desire to take the work off the graded pages of my thesis and apply it in real life. After seeking counsel from my peers, my husband and a few mentors, one mentor said to me, ‘Start your own!’. Nothing grips you with more fear than standing at the apex of something brand new and being dared to take the leap. I rejected this idea immediately, but the desire would not rest.

Fast forward a few years and I decided to just START! I took a leap a faith and started the Siphesihle Social Enterprise (and Siphesihle Clothing, which is intended to fund the social enterprise).

I am forging forward with trembling hands and a heart full of faith… may the Lord be glorified every step of the way. Thank you for being a part of this journey.

Welcome to the family!
